Palatine is a residential development in Shalesmoor. Built over two phases the scheme provides 101 apartments with a commercial unit.

The architectural approach responds to scale and character of neighbouring buildings. The building line is to the back edge of the footpath, clearly defining the site edge and reinforcing the tight urban grain, whilst the signature ‘ridged’ roofline reflects the hilly topography of Sheffield and creates a distinctive profile in the area.

The development includes a series of enclosed, landscaped courtyards which incorporate external corridors to access the apartments. The courtyards allow natural sunlight and fresh air to penetrate into the heart of the building and provides a level of amenity lacking in many residential schemes. Each apartment was designed to maximise space and light with large floor to ceiling windows and open plan layouts. The ceilings in top floor penthouses extend to the soffit of the pitched roofline creating large, voluminous spaces with extremely high levels of natural light.

    Tim Bottrill

Crossbow held my hand from start to finish on this my first buy-to-let investment. I didn’t have to worry. Crossbow sorted everything out and saved me a lot of time. Just what I needed. Thanks!

    Dr David Black

Crossbow were very easy to deal with when we sold them our site. From start to the finish- they were very open, relaxed and proactive to allow me time to move my business- they did everything they said they would. Thanks.

    Chris Phillips (Ewen Engineering)

We purchased a property at Dunfields with the dual purpose of providing our son with a base for his University studies in Sheffield and as an investment in the up and coming area of Kelham Island.

The development was designed to be a cut above any of the many competing sites in the area and the investment offered a truly excellent yield at relatively low risk given the excellent site choice.

The team at Crossbow not only bettered their original ground breaking design, they were responsive and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process.
